Georgia Superintendent of Schools Richard Woods visited Norris Elementary on March 12 to recognize the winning entry in the state-wide Cooking Up Academics Family Engagement Month Video Contest. The instructional cooking show made by school and system staff, students, and parents is aimed at getting everyone learning in the kitchen together.
Students who starred in the instructional cooking show about stuffed bell peppers received aprons, and NES Principal Shantell Crockett accepted the trophy that will be displayed near the front entrance of the school. After the ceremony, Superintendent Woods toured the Bulldog Express STEM bus.
