Welcome to Mrs. Botelho’s web page! I grew up in Lincolnton, Georgia and currently live in Martinez, Georgia. My husband's name is Shawn and we have a ten-year-old son, Jonathan. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, reading, and spending time with my family. I graduated from Augusta State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education with major in Early Childhood Education. I am certified to teach Special Education general curriculum for grades Pre-K-12th, Special Education adapted curriculum grades Pre-K-12th, Elementary Education for grades Pre-K-5th, and Special Education Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Science for grades Pre-K-5th. I have been teaching at R.L. Norris Elementary school since 2009. I have taught special education as a co-teacher and I am currently teaching small group Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
Mrs. Kitchens, Mr. Harps, and Ms. Ansley will also be working with you and your child this year. We are very excited to have your child in our class and we look forward to getting to know you and your child. We are ready and willing to help each student succeed! In our classroom we use the school-wide RAMS expectations. We expect students to Respect everyone, Act with appropriate attitude, Make safe choices, and Show responsibility. This year we are continuing to use the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports at Norris Elementary. We are a School of R.O.C.K.S (Reaching Objectives through Creative Knowledge and Skills) and our students are Rock S.T.A.R.s (Students Taking Academic Responsibilities).
You will be able to check your child’s grades online. Please see the office for more information on how to get a login and password to the website. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns about a particular assignment or grade. Please send your child to school each day with a leak proof/sweat proof water bottle that contains ONLY water.
