2025-2026 School Calendar Approved At its February meeting, the McDuffie County Board of Education approved the 2025-2026 school calendar.
Annual Title I Spring Input Meetings & Stakeholder Surveys As part of the annual Comprehensive Needs Assessment, all stakeholders are invited to provide their feedback on Title I documents.
RESCHEDULED due to inclement weather Breakfast and Briefing Workshop-will now be on January 21, 2025 @ 9:00 am. We will provide a light breakfast as you attend this quick workshop. This session will assist you in helping to prepare your child for the Georgia Milestones assessment. Resources and samples will be given, and a brief overview of Lexile levels which determine whether your child is or is not reading on grade level will be given. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend this event!! In order to reserve your spot, please fill out and return the bottom portion. This will allow us to have your child’s individual test scores prepared for you so that you can see how your child performed last year and have an idea on how to best help him/her as we test this Spring.
Parent Engagement Workshop on " Interpreting Your Child's Milestones Scores" on October 15th at 5:00 PM All stakeholders are cordially invited to our Parent Engagement Meeting. PLEASE return the bottom of the form being sent home with your child so that we can have your child's scores prepared for you when you get here. NES Parent Engagement and Math Night October 17, 2023 at 5:30 PM Please join us at 5:30 pm as we give parents a glimpse of the new Georgia K-12 Mathematics standards and show you where to find resources that can help you at home. You will also have an opportunity to provide input on our Title I documents. At 6:00 pm, there will be a brief PTO meeting before beginning our Math night. Please make plans to attend!

Online Learning Opportunities Letter for Parents 2022-2023 In July 2012, two pieces of legislation were passed in our state regarding student access to onlinelearning opportunities. Senate Bill 289 mandated school systems to offer opportunities forstudents to take online courses, and House Bill 175 established the creation of a clearinghouse forstakeholders to find online courses and course providers in the state of Georgia. By way of thisletter and as required by law, the McDuffie County School System seeks to inform you of the keycomponents of each piece of legislation and how to find online learning opportunities for yourchild.
