WELCOME TO MR. HOLLIDAY'S WEBPAGE

Greetings Parents and Guardians,

I'm so excited to be working with you and your child this year!

It is going to be a busy, fun-filled year of learning through rigorous instruction and relevant experiences in our classroom.  My classroom learning takes place through hands-on activities, projects, cooperative learning, technology, through in person learning, and will follow all Covid-19 guidelines to ensure the health and safety of each student. My teaching philosophy is simple:  I believe every child has the right to learn in a caring, safe, and respectful environment that fosters continuous learning and growth. We will achieve that goal by forming a partnership and family atmosphere within the classroom setting that will help elevate them to higher levels of success in their educational careers.

In my classroom I foster an environment where I want all my students to look at a quality education as the good and necessary trouble that will help them reach their future aspirations and have a tremendous impact on society I would like to thank you for sharing your child with me. I believe in a parent-teacher partnership and together; where in classroom 307 we don’t look to just reach the sky, but obtain the universe that has no limits to the things that my students can and will achieve. If I can be of assistance to you or your child, please do not hesitate to contact me at:706-986-4400, with a note, through the student planner, or via email [email protected] . Once again welcome to Mr. Holliday’s 5th grade classroom and Let’s get into some good and necessary educational trouble together.

"Do not get lost in a sea of despair. Be hopeful, be optimistic. Our struggle is not the struggle of a day, a week, a month, or a year, it is the struggle of a lifetime. Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble."  Late Congressman and Civil Rights Activist John Lewis.
