Thank you for visiting my web page. I would like to share a few things about me, so that you will know that we are more alike, than different. This is my 14th year of teaching. I decided to go to college in my late 40's, it was my lifelong dream to become a teacher. At the age of 52, I graduated from Augusta State University with honors. My GPA was 3.97. I was extremely proud of myself!
My first interview was with Norris Elementary--I knew it was exactly where I was meant to be.
I live in Harlem. I raise my 3 granddaughters that are 17, 17, and 19. My 7 year old grandson also lives with me. We love to do all outside activities, like fishing, swimming, and boating.
In my 13 years of teaching, I have taught every subject, but prefer Math. In fact, I have taught at least one math class every year. This year I am co-teaching with Ms. Williams and Mrs. Hudkins. Co-teaching classes are designed to have 2 certified teachers, and sometimes a paraprofessional. All adults on this team believe every student can be successful, both academically and in their relationships with their peers and all adults.
If there is anything I can do to help you or your child, please feel free to call me during my planning, 9:45-10:45
